SURPRISE Baby Shower!!!!!

My neighboorhood friends and I had a surprise baby shower for Miranda at our house on Saturday! She is having her second girl so made it a diaper and gift card shower! I thought she would have suspected something, but she was truly surpised...YES!!! It was fun!

Here she is walking in the door...

Texas Size XX-Big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am talking about a cinnamon roll!!!!!! :) My friend Miranda wanted a weekend to relax before baby Cora comes in March, so we went to Austin for the weekend. We stayed with her sister-in-law Dawn in Austin. We traveled to San Antonio to make a dream of Miranda's come true...have a taste of the biggest cinny (as she calls them) at Lulu's!!! It was HUGE!!!! It was way bigger than we expected AND only $5.99!!!! I had to bring one home so Chris could have the experience too! We outlet mall shopped, ate out, and enjoyed the day! Take a look at the size of this thing....

Claire's Baptism and Pawpaw's 85th Birthday

I went home the first weekend in January to celebrate 2 very important things, my cousin Claire's baptism and my Pawpaw's 85th Birthday! I was glad to be there for both!

Brian and Shelley were so proud as they watched their little angel be christened into the catholic church! Her godparents were Brad and Teri! They had a yummy lunch after at the church hall!

My amazing Pawpaw celebrated his birthday on the same day! He turned 85 but is still going strong! He is such an amazing Pawpaw and has worked so hard to make our family as tight-knit as we are! He is truly one in a million! There is no other person whose heart is as big as his! We had a pizza party and a yummy cookie cake that my mom made! One funny moment was when he got a snuggie! He wasn't quite sure about it! It was cute!

Newest Firethorne Fox!!! :)

Actually I should say...firethorne baby fox!!! I don't know what a baby fox is called?!?!?! The newest addition to the neighboorhood gang arrived in December! This is a picture of when I first met and got to hold precious Addison Westenmeyer!

House's First SNOW!!!

Our house got it's first snow on December 4, 2009. It was the earliest snow to fall in Houston on record! We had an early dismissal from school at 1:40. There was way more snow that had fallen at school earlier in the day, but this was the sight when I got home.

Claire Elizabeth Kopriva

Claire Elizabeth Kopriva arrived on December 6, 2009! We got to meet her a week later! Brian and Shelley are amazing parents and Claire is so precious!!!

Train Ride and Bethlehem

To celebrate Chris's mom's birthday the family went on a train ride from Cedar Park to Burnet. In Burnet, we walked through a re-enactment of the city of Bethlehem. It was a neat experience. We spent the night at Greg's apartment in Austin and celebrated Debbie's birthday too!

My 27th Birthday!!!!

I got to celebrate my 27th birthday several times with the people I love! I celebrated with Chris's family the weekend before, family and friends on my actual birthday, and then with my family the weekend after. I am lucky to almost share a birthday with my Dad. His birthday is the day before mine! So needless to say...I partied for a week! :)

Shelley's Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for Baby Kopriva on Saturday, November 14th! It was lots of pink, yummy food and a great time! I made the diaper cake for the registration table. It turned out really great! She got lots of exciting things!

Scarlett's 1st Birthday Party

Sweet Scarlett turned one on November 9, 2009! Here are a few pictures from her adorable Ladybug birthday party! My mom made her ladybug cake too! It was delicious, but Scarlett wasn't quite sure about it! Miranda made the labybug pinata! I was her project helper! It was a fun day for their family! We are glad we were a part of her special day!

Halloween 2009

We celebrated our first Halloween in our house by having a little Halloween party! It was spook-tacular and we hope to make it an annual event! I dressed up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I have always wanted to be Dorothy. Chris dressed up as Billy Mayes! :)

It was definitely not a restful trip. We were on the go every day. We wanted to experience and do as much as we could. And we did. Here are a few of our favorite pictures and moments. Where to go this summer? Hey, it is only 6 months away! ;)

First Year of Bliss

On Sunday, Chris and I celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary! We can't believe a year has already flown by. It seems like yesterday I was walking down the aisle to marry my best friend. I have cherished each moment we spent together, from laying on the couch watching epidodes of How I Met Your Mother to traveling to Paris to buying our first house!!! It has been an amazing year! We have experienced, seen, done, and grown a lot as individuals and a couple in the past year! We are so blessed to have amazing family and friends that have helped us grown into the couple we are. We love you all! But most importantly we are blessed to have found each other!

Ok...enough of the mushy stuff, huh? We had a great day! We had a priceless day spent with each other. We went to church then headed to Kemah for the afternoon. We ate at the Aquarium Resturant. I had never been there and wanted to experience it. It was yummy and neat too! We walked around the boardwalk for awhile. It was SOOOO..hot and humid. Mom and Lesley would be proud of me...I decorated the table with one of our wedding pictures, our album, unity candle, toasting glasses and other special items from our wedding day. We reminisced over our wedding videos (I cried of course) and enjoyed our year old top layer of wedding cake! It was still delicious! We were happily surprised. My mom had made our wedding cakes so it was really special to get to eat the top layer. At one point I had the cake out on the table thawing and some of the icing fell off the side! AAAA!!!! So it finished the thawing process in the frig! haha! Here are a few pics from our great day!

Chris...I love you more than you will ever know! Thanks for a fantastic year and many more to come! I love you Babe! XOXOXO!
