I can't wait for the FIREWORKS!!!!

I had a busy past 2 weeks! Last weekend, Chris and I went to an Engagement Encounter Retreat in Belton! After a long drive to get there, it went ok. We had times of growth, but were a little disappointed in the amount of downtime that we had! We wished they had more speakers and married couples to talk with. It was nice to see that we are very ready for marriage and have alot of the same goals and beliefs for ourselves and our marriage! We had some downtime on Saturday evening, so drove to watch the sunset over the Belton Lake! I stayed in the House of Sarah and Abraham...Abraham was a very fitting place for me to be, huh?

Chris was busy last week studying for his summer class final. He is almost done! I know he is excited, and so am I!!! Lindsey met me on Monday in The Woodlands to do some shopping and go to Sam Moon to look for a few things I needed to get for the wedding! You can get lost in that store with all of the accessories! I loved it and can't wait to go back! We enjoyed the day! The rest of my week invloved wedding planning, along with rain everyday! It had been showering every day, which makes me sad because my Dad prays for rain, but they can't get any! Please pray for rain for the crops! This weekend, Chris and I went to Cameron. We met with the priest that is going to marry us very early on Saturday morning to go over any questions and the mass for our wedding! We then traveled to Taylor, Texas to go to my family's Hyzak reunion. Hyzak is my mom's madien name! It was nice seeing family we don't see to often! Lesley was in Italy still and Lindsey had to work, so I missed having them there like usual! Chris did get to come with me and was welcomed many times to the family! It was a tiring day!

On Sunday, we met with our florist for the wedding. Chris's parents and my parents were able to be there too! Chris and I put the finishing touches on flowers and made final decisions! I would show a picture, but I want you to be surprised...haha! We are excited, because the flowers are a little of both of us! We might have different tastes in some things, but we always seem to come together and compromise! That's what marriage is right...compromise? We are really looking forward to spending the rest of our lives togehter and the closer the wedding gets the more we can't wait for it to get here! I am looking forward to Friday for so many reasons: July 4th, my Mom's birthday, Chris's grilling :), fireworks, and Lesley coming back from her six weeks in Italy! I can't wait to see her and hear about her adventure!!! Especially her trip to Paris and the Eiffel Tower...I was lucky to get a call from her as she was going up to the top. She knows I have always wanted to go there, so I was the lucky one! She looks happy to be there, huh?

Houston Wedding Shower!!!

We were given a wedding shower this past weekend in Houston by Chris's Aunt Pam and Margaret and sister Amanda. It was beautiful and they did a fantastic job! We had a yummy lunch with cake, played games, and I got to open lots of great gifts! Everyone was so generous to us, and we are truly blessed!!! The games were FUN! They had to compete to make the best bridal gown out of toilet paper...some were really well consttucted! I couldn't pick the best, so I declared it a tie. The guests had to see who knew me best and I had to see how well I knew Chris! I only missed one!!! It was nice because I was able to meet more of Chris's extended family and many of their family friends! Chris throughly enjoyed his bachelor party that same weekend...I am pretty sure they had a good time! It truly feels like the wedding is getting so close now...which it is...only 44 days from today! We can't wait! After the wedding shower, I spent 3 days at home wedding planning galore...and got to spend Father's Day with Dad! It was nice getting lots accomplished! Everyone should be getting their invites in the mail! I finally got those finished and mailed! Don't forget to RSVP to us...I can't wait to hear from you!

Celebrations Galore!

There has been alot of celebrating going one in the past month! I got to spend Mother's Day at home with Mom. But she had to share the day with Lindsey's birthday and Tessa's 1st Birthday party! My cousin Kristen graduated from Texas A&M! She is joining the ranks of some amazing Old Ags now! Kristen is moving to Houston in August to start working with KPMG! I am excited we will be living very close to each other! Lesley is studying abroad in Italy for 6 weeks, so we wanted to send her off with a surprise Bon Voyage party! It was a complete surprise to her, except until she saw my Nana's van. We tried to hide it, but I guess my family can spot that thing from miles away...haha! We had a fun time spending some time with her! She is there now and is loving every minute! I have gotten to chat online wiht her a couple of times and she has sent some amazing pictures! I guess I will live vicariously through her travels, until maybe one day....Lastly, I am celebrating because school's out for summer!!!!! Woo-hoo! I am enjoying my much needed break and able to get into full wedding planning mode! As of today, the wedding is only 57 days away!!! I can't believe it, but am very anxious for our day to get here!
