First Year of Bliss

On Sunday, Chris and I celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary! We can't believe a year has already flown by. It seems like yesterday I was walking down the aisle to marry my best friend. I have cherished each moment we spent together, from laying on the couch watching epidodes of How I Met Your Mother to traveling to Paris to buying our first house!!! It has been an amazing year! We have experienced, seen, done, and grown a lot as individuals and a couple in the past year! We are so blessed to have amazing family and friends that have helped us grown into the couple we are. We love you all! But most importantly we are blessed to have found each other!

Ok...enough of the mushy stuff, huh? We had a great day! We had a priceless day spent with each other. We went to church then headed to Kemah for the afternoon. We ate at the Aquarium Resturant. I had never been there and wanted to experience it. It was yummy and neat too! We walked around the boardwalk for awhile. It was SOOOO..hot and humid. Mom and Lesley would be proud of me...I decorated the table with one of our wedding pictures, our album, unity candle, toasting glasses and other special items from our wedding day. We reminisced over our wedding videos (I cried of course) and enjoyed our year old top layer of wedding cake! It was still delicious! We were happily surprised. My mom had made our wedding cakes so it was really special to get to eat the top layer. At one point I had the cake out on the table thawing and some of the icing fell off the side! AAAA!!!! So it finished the thawing process in the frig! haha! Here are a few pics from our great day!

Chris...I love you more than you will ever know! Thanks for a fantastic year and many more to come! I love you Babe! XOXOXO!

PEOJECT WORK Weekend!

This past weekend Chris and I were in PROJECT MODE! It was fun doing these things together. Well I helped Chris...but I am too much of a perfectionist to ask for his assistance. He knows that about me! ;)

Chris constructed a work bench/shelving unit for our garage. I can say I did help a little bit with holding things, but mainly tracked his progress on camera! :) A co-worker told him about this set up and it worked out great for our garage. He ordered the black parts and bought the wood. He then cut it to fit the way he wanted. It is neat because you customize it to what you want. He put alot of hard work and sweat (literally) into it. It looks great! He is still working on organizing it and putting things in their place.

When I wasn't helping him or taking pics, I was inside making clipboards for my team members. I am going to be a team leader for my Kindergarten team this year. It is my first year, but I am really excited about this year and what is to come for our kinder team! I saw this idea when shopping in Canton, and thought I could make it myself...so I did. Mod podge is my new best friend! I just cut the scrapbook paper and ribbon to fit the clipboard and pasted it on. I covered the whole board with a diluted mod podge/water mixture at the end after drying. They turned out great! I can't wait to give them to the girls! :)

Enjoy some pics from our PROJECT WORK Weekend!!!!
